Dedicated to the "American Taliban", John Walker Lindh who was captured by the American forces in Afghansitan in 2001
In the winter of '81 on February 9
A star was born to Frank and Marilyn
He was a child who was highly gifted
Towards finding god,his mind often drifted
A wondrous soul,a superb personality & courageous
Young and handsome, he was utterly religious
He journeyed from the sand-dunes of Yemen to the valleys in Pakistan
Finally he was caught in the mountains of Afghanistan
He was blamed for the death of agent Mike Spann
They called him a 'terrorist' for joining the Taliban
Issued a 10-count terror indictment against him
And then sentenced to twenty long years in prison
For being daring and honest,fearless and bold
For 'betraying his country' we were told
Do u think we believe their lies & deceptions?
Oh brother! we admire your sincere devotion
His story shall be an inspiration to the youth
Who are travelling around in the quest for truth
