Bismillahir Ramaanir Raheem
AsSalamu Alaikum WaRahmatullahi WaBarakatuhu to My Dear Muslim Brothers and Sisters in Islam
- Striving to Survive – We are o’ so Very Attached to This Temporary Duniya -
Why do we torment ourselves? Why have we not and why are we not preparing for death? What good have we done that will be of benefit to us when death will be decreed for us? What good have we done that could be Sadaqah Jariya for us when we die?
Yes –Alhumdulillahi Rabil’alameen- We pray five times and many of us even strive to pray the Tahajjud Salaah. We give money to charity, we support the Mujahideen financially and in other ways, we help fellow Muslims when they are in need of our help. We give Da’wah, we invite others to Islam, we give food, we give Zakaah e.t.c. indeed we do much good and I pray that Allah (AzaWajal) accepts it and rewards us all. [Ameen]
But there are times when our Eemaan decreases; we still have firm belief and faith in Allah (SWT), but we easily loose the habit of praying and doing good. We miss one Salaah and slowly yet gradually we begin to miss the other Salaah, we become lazy when it comes to doing our Wudhu and when we are in Wudhu we become lazy in getting up and praying.
Yet when it is time to go to work, college, uni, school e.t.c. as soon as the alarm goes, we are up and off. We strive, selfishly, in trying to get to our worldly places on time; we try so hard to do our worldly work so well in a desperate attempt to get promoted. We fight the Shaytaan within us in not doing anything stupid that will put our career in jeopardy. Our desperate attempt in pleasing our managers, teachers, lecturers, is something we all do everyday. We are so kind and obedient to them. We follow rules of this Duniya as though it is a revelation. Yet the final and actual revelation we fail to follow. We ignore the Qur’an and Sunnah completely.
Despite knowing what is right and wrong, despite being people of knowledge, that when approached by random people, [I speak of the Kufaar], why do many Muslims treat them with more respect than they do with the Muslims?
Why do we tend to do the opposite of what we should be doing?
Why do we not do what has been made obligatory upon us?
Why do we not do what has been laid out clearly on a silver tray?
You see, we all know that at the end of our life, we will have to face Allah (SWT). That we will indeed return back to Him (SWT) and that we will have to answer Him (SWT).
Indeed, we are Muslims, Muslims with Deeni Ilm -Alhumdulillahi Rabil’alameen-
Therefore should we not behave and speak like Muslims should?
Remember Allah (SWT) when ever something good or bad happens, the bottom line is that we should do as the Qur’an and Sunnah say.
Why are we so occupied with this Duniya – With the worldly things?
The rewards and paradise itself lies in al-Akhira. Everything in this Duniya is like an illusion. Shaytaan will tempt you into doing wrong and leaving good, he will try and occupy your mind which will cause you to become lazy and leave Salaah.
Shaytaan is indeed a joker, who will taste the fire of hell when the hour is established.
You are the Soldiers and the Slaves of Allah (SWT) and not of the Shaytaan. Many do as the Shaytaan says and are enjoying the so-called fruits of this Duniya – But in al-Akhira it will be of no use – It will be of no benefit what so ever.
Yes you will receive something and that will be a place in the Hell-Fire.
Do not transgress and go beyond limits in disobeying the divine laws of Allah (SWT). Strive more in preparing and looking forward in meeting and seeing Allah (SWT), rather than striving in seeing the face of your manager or your dog after doing something or giving something good to them.
Stay strong and be firm in al-Deen.
Do as the Qur’an and Sunnah say
Strive hard in pleasing Allah (Jallalahu)
Fear Allah (SWT) at all times
Remember Allah (SWT) at all times – In times of good and indeed in times of bad
And stay away from the Shirk of ar-Rayaa!!!
