According to test results, Zamzam water is the only water that does not contain microorganisms and bacterium; this mystery of Zamzam cannot be solved with our modern technology and research according to reports from the World Health Organization (WHO).
I would like to share this subject with our readers while the excitement of Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca) is continuing…

Our beloved Prophet (pbuh) said “the difference between the believers and the hypocrites is drinking ones fill of Zamzam water.” (1) Also “The best water on the face of the earth is the water of Zamzam; its taste is well and is a healing from sickness." (2)

There are eighteen kinds of useful mineral mixtures in Zamzam, (3) such as Magnesium sulphate, sodium, sulphate, sodium chlorite, calcium carbonate, potassium nitrate, hydrogen sulphate, and sulphur. (4)

Hafez Suyuti narrates: “…the young companions used to wrestle each others and the Meccans won every time as long as they drank Zamzam…” (5)

“Think that there are modern fountains that flow thousands of years around Kabaa and millions of people drink and millions carry this water with drums to different regions of the world. But it does not still lose its taste, color and excitement. That water, which comes from deep in the Arabian desert, is Zamzam. How can that happen? Only belief can explain it…(6)

When Ibn-i Hagar Askalani was drinking Zamzam he prayed to Allah to be a hadiths hafiz (a person that memorized sayings & teachings of the Prophet (pbuh)) like Zahabi level. (7)

Prof. Dr. Zakai Sen (from Turkey) was invited to “Zamzam Studies and Research Centre” as a manager. Prof. Sen said: “As I continued my research into Zamzam, my faith increased. There are a lot of things that cannot be explained by science. In that point faith helped me.” (8)

If you drink Zamzam with the intention of becoming healed, it can purify the stomach, kidney, and intestines and it is also useful for the liver and can abolish headaches and worry and also strengthen the sight and heart.

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said "Do not drink at one go like the camel, rather drink taking two or three breaths and keeping vessel away from your lips every time” and he forbade blowing into the drinking vessel. Also He (pbuh) advised us “to mention the Name of Allah (i.e., say Bismillah) and use our right hand to say “Al-hamdu lillah-praise Allah” after drinking. (9)

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) used to take Zamzam water to where He (pbuh) went. (10)

“Hazrat Abu Zar had first come to Mecca during the early stages of Islam, and the Messenger (pbuh) saw him and asked “how many days have you been here” Abu Zar replied that he had been here since a month and he had nothing to eat but Zamzam. He had drunk only Zamzam in that time and meanwhile he had put on weight. And Hazrat Abu Bakr took him his home, treated him very hospitably, and the next day Hazrat Ali took him to the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) and Abu Zar was honored by Islam there. (11)

When we made umrah with the late artist Abdullah Taktak (Marhoom) we were talking about Zamzam and he said to me “My hodja (teacher) this is not water.” We all were surprised…and waiting for his words about what Zamzam was. He continued “this is serum, serum” so we remembered Marhoom with this nice memory and defined Zamzam in brief.

May Allah give us the opportunity to drink Zamzam to our fulfillment in its well.

“Zamzam that was drunk is excreted from the body as sweat not as urine” (12)

Note: “We hope to see bottled Zamzam in buffets, shops, markets around the world so we can easily reach Zamzam to drink it every time”
