Bismillahir Ramaanir Raheem
AsSalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu My Dear Muslim Brothers and Sisters in Islam
Raising Mujahideen Children
Indeed many of us wish to go to the battlefield.
Indeed many of us wish to die the death of a Shaheed.
Indeed many of us wish to be proud parents of Mujahids.
Many of us were raised by Muslim non-Jihadi families. Where many of us children had to teach, by the Help and Grace of Allah (Jallalahu), ourselves about Islam by doing in-depth research. We had to teach ourselves about this sacred duty, the sacred duty of Jihad FiSabilillah.
To raise Mujahid children verily is a vital role for the Muslim women. And our aim should be that we need to teach and train our kids to be strong, courageous, and sensitive and also to make them fear no man - Make them Fear Allah (SWT) alone. Don’t wait till they’re 10 or 15years old because it might just be too late by then -Wallahu Ta’aalahu Alam- When they’re still young and preferably before they hit 7years old.
-Insha’Allahu Ta’aala- I’ve put a few pin-pointers which could help.
1. Tell Them About the Stories of Shuhadaa
Stories about the Prophets, Sahaabah, Sahabiyat. Tell them about our Shaheed brothers like Yahya Ayyash (RA). Even tell them about Muslim figures of today like Sheikh Osama ibn Laden (HA), Mujahid Abu Musab al-Zarqawi (HA), Mullah Omar (HA) e.t.c. Tell them about Islam throughout History and even contemporary times.
2. Emphasize by Teaching them the Importance of Ahadith like – Not to Hit a Muslim.
It is very important that all parents teach their kids that they should never hit or hold a weapon at a fellow Muslim. Teach them to forgive and to let their anger out on those Kafirs who fight the Muslims. By teaching them the meaning of "Ashiddaau alal kuffari ruhamaau baynahum" [Strong against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves], Insha’Allahu Ta’aala they will begin to understand.
3. Purchase a Punch-Bag
This could represent an enemy. Teach the son to let out his anger on it. This will Insha’Allahu Ta’aala also teach him to control and direct the anger. A punch-bag is also a good way of building upper body strength.
4. No TV
The TV holds nothing by nonsense programmes. Many programmes are of no benefit to children. By switching off the TV the kid will concentrate more on learning the deen. The TV tends to make one really lazy. If you want to allow your kids to watch TV, then make them watch decent programmes and documentaries. Make them watch Military videos and make them watch Islamic talks.
5. Make them Join Clubs or Train them From Home
Indeed keeping fit and healthy plays a very important role when one is willing and wanting to go for Jihad. One must prepare and be physically as well as mentally ready. One of the greatest ways of preparing is by attending clubs or training with a variety of sports that will be of benefit when on the battlefield. Insha’Allahu Ta’aala I have listed some clubs that will help:
- Horse-Back Riding
- Archery
- Swimming
- Martial Arts
- Darts
- Orienteering
- Target Shooting
- Driving
- Exercising
Train them how to jump correctly without hurting your back or legs and how to keep balance after jumping, e.g. off a wall.
Purchase a chin-up bar and teach them how to hold on and teach them how to actually do a chin-up. Insha’Allahu Ta’aala as they grow older they’re upper body strength will grow.
6. Purchase Military Books and Videos
By showing them military books – With pictures, they will begin to identify the different kinds of weapons. Show the children videos and pictures of Mujahideen and tell them to become strong like them. Watch with them small Martyrdom flashes and videos and explain how the Mujahideen fear no man – They fear Allah (SWT) alone, and for His (SWT) sake they are able, willing and capable to do anything in Defence of Islam. Teach them verses from the Qur’an about Jihad and quotes from the Sunnah. There is indeed no age limit as to what age one should begin learning about Jihad.
7. Play Games with Them
Preferably games that will help with their eye coordination and their awareness. Like ‘Catch Catch’ – By randomly throwing the ball at their left or right side one can train them how to catch in a proper way and how to be alert at all times.
8. Encourage the Kids as they Grow Older about Their Career Prospects
One could explain to their child to become a doctor, as a doctor can indeed help Mujahideen immensely when they get injured. One could explain to their child to become a professional computer expert, as this could help the Muslim Ummah by hacking in to Kafir websites that are either of no use and those that mock the Muslims or one could even publish news and dedicate an entire site for the Cause of Mujahideen.
It is very important that parents explain to their kids what their goal is and should be – What they’re aiming for and what they should be aiming for – And that is to Serve Allah (SWT) and Allah (SWT) alone. By taking on a profession they are indeed helping the Muslim Ummah –FiSabilillah- in many many ways. It is important to make it clear that no matter what profession one attains, they should not become greedy and too clingy to the wealth and status and that one should not become so comfortable.
So you see my Dear Muslim Brothers and Sisters in Islam – There are many ways of raising Mujahideen. If you are true to Allah (SWT), then He (SWT) will be true to you and He (SWT) will make it happen -Insha’Allahu Ta’aala-
