Searching for a love that’s true

And sweet

Shivering cold

A beauty my eye could only dream to behold

I’ve found him.

…as for me,

I’m just engulfed in the bliss of all this

Wanting eternal happiness

Trying to navigate through this worldly abyss

A balancing act, trying not to fall in a pit of fire

Surrounded by base desire…

But anyway, back to my heart

He had it all from the start

And though my eyes have not yet earned the grace

Of gazing at his lovely face

I can almost taste the sweetness of his presence

And as my heart aches, and body quivers

I can only think of the shiver

Of my beloved

Al-Muzzammil, al-Amin, Muhammed Mustafa

I do not near deserve to utter your name

For that my love and deeds do not yet coincide-I feel shame

For can a love be true that doesn’t manifest

Itself as much work with little rest

For if I knew as he knew, I’d laugh little and weep much

I’d cherish every prayer and every lovers touch

Not a moment of time would I ever deem free

Every breath would encompass dhikr of my Lord and His nabi

Upon waking, a true consciousness of how my Lord manifest

Death from life, and my life from death

Returning my soul is a mercy to me

I have tainted its purity through forgetfulness and sin

I have wrongfully pulled it low, though ALLAH created it high

I have surrounded it with enemies, through so-called ‘friendship’ ties

And as I try to turn away from this world which has brought me much grief

and sadness

I thank ALLAH for saving me from the ultimate madness of kufr

And my love

I yearn to see him

And I pray ALLAH sees fit that I do not burn

I will painstakingly await my turn

Through life and judgment

And whatever is written that I’m meant to experience

My own personal deliverance from error

>From the prison of this life

To be his wife is more than a privilege and more than I deserve

He is a perfect word

>From Our Lord

He is the chosen one

Forever adored
