Abraham must’ve seen the timorous sunbeams sifting at dawn
Then fritter away and extinguish as the world grew weary
Abraham must’ve seen the moon cloak her countenance
In the scarf of billowing clouds that snarled and spat
Abraham realised that Allah was the Eternal Light
Who had no beginning and no end
Moses must’ve seen the pharaoh bleed and the weep
When the morning star glimmered as a celestial jewel
Moses must’ve seen the Hebrews cry to their Lord
Then cower to the floor as a whip slashed their skin
Moses realised that Allah fully perceived their deeds
From His tall throne in the Heavens
Jesus must’ve seen the citizens rebuke his mother
Then he spoke from his cradle
Jesus must’ve seen awe flicking in numerous eyes
As he optimistically conveyed the Sermon on the Mount
Jesus realised that he did all the miracles “by Allah’s leave”
That Allah was not Trinity but indivisible
Muhammad must’ve seen Arabia venerate pagan deities
That had hands and feet but couldn’t respire and feed
Muhammad must’ve seen the Emigrants and Helpers quaver
When he brandished his sword for the cause of Islam
Muhammad realised that he would return to Allah eventually
Whose wisdom is enshrined in the Glorious Qur’an
