INVALUABLE MOTHER- Muhammad Haroon
As soon as a female conceives she becomes entitled to acquire the title of "MOTHER."  Is thats all the word mother stands for, or is that all a mother is for?  Mother is she, who is a wife of one, daughter of one, sister of one, and much more.  She is one of the members and the counterpart of the society besides man.  She contributes her talents in her own way.   She looks after the interests of her husband, looks after his children and his house.  There are woman who is a mother as well as an earning member too.   Without mother there is no child, without father there is no child, and without both father and mother there is no child.
Everyone is interdependent.  To be a child there must be both father and mother.  To be a father or mother, there must be a child. Those who are called anti-socials and, termed as the burden for the healthy society were most likely brought up under unhealthy childhood days, and improper family environment.  Although mother is the one with whom the child tends to be close, and in frequent touch, the father too has his share in the burden of imparting moral values to his child apart from being a breadwinner of the family.  The best that the father can give to the child is the good manners.  Righteousness comes from Allah and good manners come from parents. [Bukhari, al-Adab al-Mufrad, 92]
Mother deserves more care though both the parents have well-balanced rights to be fulfilled by their children.  A man came to the Prophet and asked him, O Messenger of Allah, who among people is most deserving of my good company?  He said, Your mother.  The man asked, Then who?  The Prophet said, Your mother.  The man asked, Then who?  The Prophet said, Your mother.  The man asked, Then who?  The Prophet said, Then your father.  [Bukhari and Muslim].  In another report, Then your nearest relatives and so on.Allah says in Chapter Ibrahim, verse 15, We have enjoined on man kindness to his parents: In pain did his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth.... In another place in chapter Luqman, verse 14, Allah says, And We have enjoined on man (to be good) to his parents: in travail upon travail did his mother bear him....
The role of the mother is a very important one, since the first human being the child gets into contact is its mother; its mother is its first teacher.  And through her guidance the child sees the world.  If mother's guidance to the child was healthy and morally sound, the child grows up to be a well-respected member of the society otherwise its the reverse, due to which the child develops several psychological and behavioural problems thus hampering the child's positive contribution to the society. So it should speak volumes that the childs upbringing is strong and healthy if mothers too is, apart from the father, in consistent with the Quran and Sunnah, suited for her nature.
