In this black mire Ive awakened to I find no speck of light.
Im constrained in layers of what seems to be a spiders trap.
Voices call from within-- telling me theres escape from the night.
Why cant I find a way out of this maze with a fingers snap?
Allah, please save me from this place; I repent and know my mistake.
Please help me not to hate, to find truth and stop the heartache.
I wish to ask why the box was opened and out escaped hate?
Hate destroys mans heart and soul and mind, and all things of beauty.
Sin that eats at man, why did Adam take the apple he ate?
Uncaring men drown in their wicked hate in an evil sea.
Allah, I know, I should be more forgiving and less revengeful.
How do I escape gripping hate so as to be dutiful?
Allah, I fear that I cannot change and will always find some hate.
A voice called out, "My servant, I love you and will guide and keep you."
Allah, you mean you do love my wretched soul and its not too late?
"Just repent and start anew and I will save a place for you."
I felt the chains of hate drop from my cold, hurting, weary heart.
Oh, Allah, thank you so much for my new birth and a brand new start.
