“That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past” Ecc. 3:15
Solomon in the Bible says that there is nothing new under the sun.
In Palestine the so-called cycle of violence continues. Israel was founded on violence perpetrated by Jewish settlers from Europe, Russia, Argentina, America, and other parts of the world. They came under the banner of Zionism-the political ideology that called for the establishment of a homeland for Jews. An internationally proclaimed racist ideology. Those Jews committed acts of terrorism against other Jews, Arabs, and the British to force their way into what they called their Holy Land. They displaced thousands of Palestinians from their ancient homes and caused a Diaspora that sent Palestinians all over the Arab world and other countries causing thousands to languish in squalid refugee camps on the West Bank, in Gaza, and in Lebanon.
The United States availed Israel of “the greatest arsenal in the world”, made it the fourth largest army in the world, and financed its development of weapons of mass destruction as well as nuclear weapons.
Israel, since its inception through the United Nations in 1947, has aggressed against its Arab nations in several wars capturing and occupying more and more Palestinian land and bringing more settlers from America, Russia, and Europe to establish settlements in Palestinian territories.
In recent months Palestinians have fought back against that aggressive occupation. They have allowed their anger and desperation to cause them to violate the teachings of Islam and have engaged in suicide bombings killing Israeli civilians. In response the Israeli war criminal Ariel Sharon invaded most of the towns and cities of the West Bank murdering innocent civilian men, women, and children, destroying homes, business and institutions, as well as the infrastructure of the Palestinian Authority imprisoning, ridiculing, and humiliating its president Yasser Arafat. This state terrorism of Israel has not subdued the Palestinian people, as war against civilians never does, they continue to fight back with what they feel is all that they have, the blind suicide of their youth.
One struck again recently near Tel Aviv. Sharon in Washington, where his policies have been endorsed by resolutions by the American Israel Affairs Committee (AIPAC) owned congress, came to the United States like the boss that he is, not as a visitor. After the attack, he cut off his visit to instruct American officials and returned to Israel to direct further attacks against the Palestinians.
And the beat goes on; nothing changes more death and destruction.
The laws of physics say that an object in motion stays in motion until confronted by a greater force. Israel will continue to murder and destroy Palestinians until the world community intercedes with force, as President Clinton recently proposed, to stop the Israeli diabolical juggernaut.
