I set out, not so long ago
To find my purpose in this life,
Where I found myself, was on His path,
The path to His glory and His might,
So I ran, as fast as I could,
Towards him whom now I hold most dear,
Closer and still closer I became,
With every moment, with every tear...
I knew not, how far I had come,
Nor did I care to look behind,
What I beheld was so beautiful and pure,
Beyond that of any imagination, of any kind,
Now I stand, alone and still,
Clinging onto all those I left before,
Before I found my way to his path,
Before to me, His mercy did pour,
His beauty is for all to see,
His mercy knows no bounds,
I pray that they answer his many calls,
So they do not become deaf to every sound,
Into the traps I fell, I pray no one else falls,
I pray to keep to his path until they lay me in the ground,
So find your way, do not let the world make you stall,
To health, happiness and peace no better path is to be found.
