Dear Allah,
it feels like only yesterday
when i first knocked upon Your door
i was but a lost and wretched soul
looking for Love
i knew You had the answer
and so I begged You for one
You hadn’t disappointed me
You showed me what no one else could
Love that transcends wisdom of mind.

Dear Allah,
just who am i
a mere speck of dust against the entire universe
but not a doubt clouds me
about Your Impartiality
Your Love embraces all
Your Mercy cradles all. (3)
Dear Allah,
clear my mind of everything
save the thoughts of You
empty my heart of everything
save the longing for You
fill my emptiness with nothing
but the sufficiency of knowledge
soothe my loneliness with nothing
but the promise that i, You will never forsake do not reject my pleas, Ya Ilahi
do not turn me away, Ya Robbi
do not cast me off Your Path
do not leave me stranded
without Your Love. ~ Nur Jannah
