I look towards the ocean
its waves white among the blue
and as i gaze towards it,
I notice something new
far across the blue horizon
mountains grow along the range.
the grass so green before it
i notice something strange.
The yellow sun slowly setting
in the field in hues of pink
the white round moon arising,
this really makes me think
pearly white snow drifting down
trees adorned with shades of red and green,
sparkling dew o要 morning leaves,
beautiful things o要 earth can be seen.
the stars so many miles away,
sparkling like the city lights
I thank Allah (SWT)- my Lord,
For my wondrous sense of sight
Brown-Black speckled sand o要 beaches,
warmly tingling between my toes,
chilly winds raising goosebumps
why? i wonder if anybody knows.
People bustling about with work,
Cars in thousands careen by
indeed, o要 the wall of life,
i feel that I am but a fly
I close my eyes to the night
and hear the ocean roaring out
the wind whistling through the trees
my ears- God gifted without a doubt.
entering a dark cavern
cobwebs brushing across my face
the stillness and the silence
makes my pumping heart race
tires whirling o要 the road,
miles and miles o要 their way
so many things I notice
happening around me everyday.
Venturing into the unknown
i feel so helpless inside,
a mysterious sensation tingles my spine
nowhere can i turn to hide
the wind blowing in my face
a feeling so refreshing and so new
smelling the seasons change
appreciated by o要ly a select few.
I have smelled the rain
freshly sprinkled o要 the leaves
tasted the salty sea,
swayed with the flowers and palm trees.
water lapping at my ankles
autumn leaves crackling under my feet
my sense of touch and hearing sharpen
Who created all these senses - so unique?
