The Prophet once saw a camel,
With tears rolling from his eyes,
As the Prophet patted him on the back,
He felt saddened by his cries.

“What’s wrong?” he asked gently
as he wiped the tears away,
What did the ship of the desert
about his problems have to say?

“Oh Holy Prophet, help me,
my master makes me work all day,
and without food to sustain me,
I fear I’ll waste away. Please do something to help me,
I’m so tired of the work I do,
I have no strength to carry on,
Please help me, I plead to you.”

The Prophet called the owner
And told him about the camels pain,
“Treat animals with kindness,
Don’t be harsh with him again.”

“Show mercy to those on Earth,
and treat them with care and love,
then you too will be showered with mercy
from the one in the Heavens above.”
