Hail the Great President of the United States, George W. Bush. The man who will be remembered long in history. The man who is making history right now. Hail the New World Order.
As I write this, the deed is finally being done. The invasion of Iraq has started. An invasion without the backing of the UN. An invasion which in the words of the US President, had to be done as the "Security Council was not prepared to discharge its responsibility." Okay, you are not that dumb! It is the responsibility of the Security Council to endorse whatever the US decides to do. Didnt you know that?? Well, you just got educated.
An invasion that establishes two principles:- That a country or a person has the right to object to the leadership in another country and take unilateral action to try to remove it.
- That a country or a person can accuse another country or some individuals in it of being dangerous to it and take unilateral action to attack and destroy them: the pre-emptive doctrine.
Welcome to the New World Order which we all gladly welcome for it releases us from the responsibility of being human beings.
And what about those who die? Well, you see, we have a word for that also: collateral damage.
If want an omlette, learn to break a few eggs.
The words of the TV reporters are fantastic. "This is remarkable technology which allows the ships to fire missiles from hundreds of miles in the ocean to surgically (notice another word) hit targets of military opportunity. (Man!! I am a management consultant and I love these word smiths......what creativity.) But of course the technology is not infallible." As we say in baseball: cover all the bases. Just in case the missile lands in a hospital or an air raid shelter or a school: all of which happened in the same Iraq the last time, when Daddy was running the show.
All these cute phrases of course to hide one simple word: SLAUGHTERRRRRRRRRR!!! of innocent men, women, and children.
I am sick to the teeth of saying over and over again that nobody in their wildest dreams supports Saddam. All we are saying is: You cant take the law into your own hands because you dont like the man any more and kill thousands of innocent people in an attempt to get him.
And that if you do this, then others will also start following this horrible example and this world will disintegrate into barbarism.
As I write this, the Turkish parliament has refused the US an airbase and spurned the bribe (sorry I dont know fancy words to describe plain facts) of US $26 billion. Nice piece of petty cash. Stupid buggers, the Turks. Ask the leaders of Pakistan. With no bribe at all, they were prepared to abstain from vetoing the motion had it been placed before the UN Security Council. But of course it was the French, who refused to kowtow and make sajda to President Bush, and assured his puppy-dog that they would love to veto the motion. So there was constipation with Mr. Bush and Mr. Blair and no motion. But then, once again, stupid buggers, the French. Whats with these bloody Europeans, I dont understand.
So turn on your TVs, bring out the popcorn and the six-packs, sit back, put up your feet, relax, and enjoy the spectacle of the awesome military might of the United States of America and their allies the United Kingdom of Great Britain (Shush!! Never mind, they forgot to change the name) and see the missiles streak across the skies and the lovely flashes of the fireworks. And if it does occur to you that in each flash, some more kids just got vaporized; well, you know!! its those bloody Arabs and in any case it is Saddams fault.
Didnt you hear what the President said for Gods sake? "Saddam has placed his troops in civilian areas thereby exposing innocent men, women and children to danger. (Pause!! A very pregnant one) A final atrocity against his own people. (Man!! These White House word smiths............how I love them!!)
Okay Baby!! End of the show: In the words of Pope John Paul: They will answer to both God and History.
(Such plain language. The Vatican should hire someone from President Bushs staff to teach the Pope how to say such things. But then again, you see he is European.)
