Look around you,
Look far and wide,
High and low,
And within you- inside.
See the brightness
of the sun,
See the sea,
And the horizon.
See the stars,
the moon and sky,
See the birds,
Oh- how they fly!
Have you seen,
what’s in the Earth?
Carrots, potatoes,
Among the dirt.
Cucumbers,
Tomatoes and peas,
Are grown for us,
with such expertise.
Wheat is used,
For making bread,
Flowers are arranged,
In a lovely bed.
See the jewels ,
in pomegranates
How red and juicy,
What a wonderful taste!
See the custard apple,
And the green kiwi,
The coated banana,
Delights to see!
Gifts from Allah,
Wrapped uniquely,
Free for us,
For eternity.
Do we ever,
Ponder over these signs,
Or do we just,
Sit back and dine?
Have we ever thanked Him,
For everything we get?
For Allah gives and forgives,
But we get and forget!
