Have you heard,
about brave Muslim men,
Who struggled for Islam,
again and again.

They bore many hardships,
and lots of pain,
But never did they ever,
groan or complain.

Lets read some of their stories,
Of how they lived,
To serve Islam,
A few things they did. Abdullah bin Masud,
Quoted lots of Hadith
A Quranic scholar,
Did many great deeds

He suffered silently,
the Quraish lashes and beats,
for he was the first man,
to read Quran in a public street.

Musab bin Umair,
The first missionary abroad
flag carrier in the battle of Uhad,
in which both his hands were chopped.

Khalid bin Walid,
The "Sword of Allah,"
Didnt let the flag fall,
in the Battle of Muta.

He fought in many battles,
Was the greatest army head,
A valiant fighter,
who died in bed.

Disturbed by discord among Muslims,
was Jamaluddin Afghani
The Muslim Missionary,
and caller to Islamic Unity

Salahuddin Ayubi,
treated enemies charitably,
Liberated Jerusalem to people’s joy,
Was patient, fair, and devoutly.

Imam Bukhari,
Took great pains
He collected ahadith,
for heavenly gains

A learned person was he,
With a great memory
and is also well known,
for his work and piety.

Imam Abu Hanifa,
A great merchant,
A great scholar of fiqh,
Who encouraged education.

All these role models,
So pious and great.
Let’s not only praise them,
But strive to emulate.
