By Khalil
Would that pens were not dipped in the blood of violence and pain.
Would that the writer’s words were not of confusion, corruption and the disharmony of inhumanity.
Would that wars and rumors of wars did not dominate our minds.
Would that the poet could write of the beauty of the sunrise of Keiko’s face.
Would that he could write of her free generous spirit and peaceful soul.
Would that his words be of light and peace and not darkness.
Would that we could only write of peace for Keiko, my Japanese friend, and for all Mankind.
