By Khalil Abdel Alim

God compares, in the Quran, our life on earth to the rain that produces growth on earth. Likewise, what we do in this life will determine the nature of our existence in the next life. All of our actions are full of consequences. Nothing goes for naught. The justice of God is complete and fair. As seventeenth century poet, Fredrich Freherr von Logau wrote, “The mills of the Gods grind slowly, yet they grind exceedingly small; Though with patience He stands waiting, with exactness grinds He all.” Often the consequences of our actions and deeds are not immediate but delayed and they do occur.

America committed heinous crimes of war against humanity-the Iraqi people during the Gulf war. Now analysts are tracing acts of violence and murder to veterans of that war here in America. Timothy McVeigh, the Arizona killer, the Washington sniper, Ft Bragg murders.

For several hundred years America has raped, plundered, stolen land, enslaved millions, oppressed people and women, and committed unlawful immoral war all around the world. Now Americans foolishly ask, “Why do they hate us?” Because you are evil and wicked, and now want to have hegemony over the whole world.

Is it any wonder that the victims of your crimes have declared war on you, attacked your people and property all over the world, and have now attacked your homeland? Is it any wonder that a humble, God-fearing man like Mir Aimal Kasi took an AK –47 walked along a line of traffic that was entering the CIA headquarters of international murder and mayhem in Langley, Virginia and shot and killed two CIA agents and wounded several others?

Kazi’s attorney explained the reasons for his actions: ”His attack was against the United States. He talks about how we, the American people, don’t understand them and exploit them.” Meaning the Muslims of the world. Kazi said that he regretted that he had to kill people. Government officials said that he was not linked to any terrorist organization.

Kazi spent his last hours praying and reading the Quran. As he was given the lethal injection, the FBI agent who arrested him and witnessed his execution said that as his life slipped away he quietly uttered, “There is no God but Allah.”
