Were you there in times far gone when girls were buried for being born when disgrace was your fate for being poor and blood was shed to settle a score

Were you there in times gone past when honor came from tribe or caste when idols of stone were worshipped in pride and peoples hearts were hard inside

vi- (Ramadan)

I seek refuge in Allah
From evil and my self
Being this month same
And I alone to blame

vii- (Saima)

Arms, legs, limbs
Arranged around a hole
And still the empty body
Not as hungry as the soul.

I re-discover things faded with time;

Predictions for the future...

I wished to visit France,
I dreamt it’d entrance,
A lot better than any séance;

England I wished to study and discover my muse,
All those poets laying dead - a fitting ruse?
I’d visit the many palaces there,
Heard of those maaahvellous guards, I geared to outstare...

"All acts done by the sons of Adam are meant for him, except fasting. It is exclusively meant for Me, and I (alone) will reward him for it"
(Bukhari and Muslim)

Its that point in time of year
The time Muslims beam with cheer
Ramadan is at last here

Fasting and abstaining from wrong
The occasion all Muslims in actuality get along
We do this for Allah only
We can’t do it jointly, its something we have to do solely
