During the later part of the tenth century, the region of Central Asia had attained a high degree of economic prosperity, literary growth, and cultural development. Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Iraq ruled the Kath region. It was at this time, a boy called Muhammad was born in a Persian speaking Tajik family on the 3 rd of Dhu’l Hajj 362 A.H corresponding to 4 September 973 A.C. The family of this boy, later known throughout the Muslim world as Abu Rayhan Muhammad bin Ahmad al-Biruni was Tajik by race but Persian by culture.
The world we live in is a stressful place. There are earthquakes, floods, falling pianos, wet paint, automobile accidents, etc., many things that man would rather live without. Why do these things happen? People have been asking ’Why’ since the beginning of time, and they’ve also devoted hundreds of books and papers to answering it. We thought we’d jump on the band-wagon and do the same, throw in a few lines about it because it is such an important question. Not knowing the answer can be a weakness in your faith, a weak link in your spiritual chain that someone may try to pry apart.
At such a precarious time as this, the state capitol of Washington seemed to be at once the most brash and absolutely necessary city to host ISNA’s (Islamic Society of North America) 39th annual conference. The annually growing event attracted 32,000 eager and excited Muslims from around the nation.

Scientists working on animal behavior are totally convinced that birds are aware, intelligent, and astonishingly like humans. Their studies suggest that individual birds have unique personalities. They understand their surroundings and have flexible behaviors which resembles those of human beings.
