God compares, in the Quran, our life on earth to the rain that produces growth on earth. Likewise, what we do in this life will determine the nature of our existence in the next life.
Nuts to cultural interpretations on Islam; the haram twists and turns left-over from non-Muslim society that creep into practiced Islam. You know what I mean, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, marrying your daughters to the Quran and turning them into imitation nuns, denying them the right to vote, the right own property, run businesses, to earn inheritance. Nuts to it all, cause it’s all haram, and you have rights clearly stated in the Quran. Defend your rights! Allah entitled you to them and no one can take them away!

In turn, the rulers would choose attendants serving on them with care. They viewed physicians of the land with distrust for their knowledge of drugs, and their effects on the human body could make them highly qualified assassins. The Caliph al-Mutawakkil, who ruled Baghdad from 846 C.E-861 C.E, felt it necessary to test the integrity of the court physician.
I have worn niqaab and hijab for 16 of the 17 years I have been Muslim, and I pray ALLAH continues opening my heart to its blessings. I consider myself no better, nor less than my Muslim sisters. Though there seems much controversy about this matter, InshaAllah, we are all striving to attain jennah and we must embrace the commands ALLAH has specifically inspired us to do. His Guidance must be acknowledged with obedience.
